1 1/2 pounds ground beef ( I use the leanest I can find)
1 onion chopped
1 pkg mixed veggies (carrots, peas, corn)
2 pounds potatoes diced
1 stick of butter
1/2 C beef broth
1 tsp worcestershire sauce
Salt
Pepper
Boil potatoes until tender.
Melt 4 Tbsp butter in large frying pan. Saute onions in butter until tender. Add the beef and brown, add salt and pepper to taste along with other herbs you want. Add the worcestershire sauce, mixed veggies and 1/2 cup of beef broth. Cook uncovered for 10 minutes on low. Add more beef broth if needed, you want it to be moist.
Mash potatoes and add the remaining butter, season to taste.
Place beef mixture into a baking dish. Put the mashed potatoes on top of the meat mixture. Take a fork and make the mashed potatoes have peaks so that they can brown.
Cook in a 400 degree oven until bubbling and brown (30 minutes ish) Broil for last few minutes if necessary to brown.
