Flamin' Cinnamon Cider

8  cups apple cider or apple juice
1  cup red cinnamon candies, such as Red Hots brand
Thinly sliced red and/or green apples
Thin orange peel strips (optional)
  1. In a large saucepan heat cider over medium heat until hot, but not simmering. Add candies; stir until melted. To serve, float apple slices on the cider mixture. If desired, top with orange peel strips.
