I wanted to do a week long series of afternoon snacks. School has started here in Colorado and I am ready for the fall. I realize the kids are not happy about summer being over but I love when school starts. Something about buying school supplies and making lunches and having fun with the afternoon snacks. Today's recipe is a simple Strawberry recipe. Enjoy!

I am getting ready to have major surgery next week. It is a blessing beyond words! God is so good :O) I will be on bed rest for two weeks and then I am not able to do any heavy lifting for a total of six to eight weeks. I am not happy about the recovery part, but that is life.

We have recently found out that our baby boy is allergic to Dairy ( Milk Fats) and corn. Holy cow! I have to relearn how to cook! So many new ingredients and researching to do. I must admit I am overwhelmed but I do love to cook and now I HAVE to shop at my favorite store. WHOLE FOODS!!! I just love that place and thanks to the baby it looks like I will be going there a lot.
My husband and I have been saving money for some new couches. We wanted brown leather couches for our room we are turning into a library. We went around town and looked at a few stores and finally found a set we really liked. The problem? Well, they are a lot of money $1,000.00 To me that is a fortune but we started saving money for our new couches.
Our darling daughter graduated High School on the 19th of May. She graduated with Honors as well. We are so proud of her not only for her marks in school but for what God is doing in her life.
On May 17th we finally adopted Gabe!! It was a long 19 months but GOD was always present and faithful. We are so blessed and truly happy. GOD is awesome.
