Ants being a pest in your RV or campground? I spread Comet out side of my RV around the tires, levelers, and anything that is on the ground leading to my RV, and I never have an ant problem. Little tips you learn from fellow campers :-)
Camping tip..Keep your cooler cold without the slushy water. Fill a gallon or half gallon jug with water. add 1/4 cup table salt to the gallon or 1/8 cup to a half gallon . leave an inch of room at the top of the jug for expansion and freeze. place in your cooler instead of an ice bag.
Here are some of the handy things I probably would have forgotten were it not for my very organized friends:
One key to staying comfortable when camping is to be as organized as possible. We’ve got four boys, so disorder comes pretty easily. I’ve found that if we can build order in when we pack, it really helps things go smoothly by the time we are in the woods. Here is how we pack our clothes:
1) Pack a complete set of clothes for each person, for each day. Be sure to pack some extra socks in case your feet get wet.
Add grommets to oilcloth and secure with bungee cords for an outdoor tablecloth that won’t blow away! Great for camping, tailgating or bbq's outside.
No matter how seasoned a camper you are, every new outdoor excursion is bound to leave you feeling somewhat inadequate. Nothing to be ashamed of, it's just the way it works. Whether it's an item forgotten, a uncomfortably placed tent, or an unfortunate selection of companions, there will always be something to add to the check list... or maybe scratch off.
Help for planning camping menus: The Coleman Cookout Cookbook & Meal Planner application allows users to find the perfect meal based on food type, category, and ingredients.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Yep I agree.
Put glow sticks into your cooler for when you are thirsty at night while camping, bbq's, parties, tailgating etc.
