Pay attention to the breading process—you can repeat it with zucchini spears, sweet potato sticks, chicken tenders, raw shrimp. Anything that needs breading. Panko crumbs for President!
2/3 cup water
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
peanut oil for frying
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
4 teaspoons rice wine vinegar
1/2 cup orange marmalade
2 cups shredded, sweetened coconut
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1 lb medium or large shrimp, peeled and deveined
Dipping Sauce:
Ingredients:
8 slices of Bacon – cooked crisp and crumbled
8 oz Cream Cheese – room temperature
1/2 c. Mayonaise
2 tsp. Dijon Mustard
1 1/2 c. shredded Swiss Cheese
3 Green Onions diced
1/2 tsp. Horseradish Sauce
Directions:
Combine all ingredients and mix well using a rubber spatula. Transfer to a shallow baking dish (about 9 x 9) and bake at 400 for 15 minutes.
