Christmas

It's begining to look a lot like Christmas.  Which usually means most people are going to go out and buy gifts and in return for their generousity, they are going to go into debt.  I am not one of those people.  Don't get me wrong, I love giving gifts.  I, however will not go into debt to show love.  Here are a few ideas for you to lower your christmas bills.

1.)  Buy used.  I know I know you're thinking NO WAY.  I want to encourage you to shop at a thirft store.  You might find a rare piece of China your sister is missing.  Or a book out of print.  Trust me I would much rather get a gift that I really appreciate verses a new gift I want to return.

2.) Baby's have no idea it's Christmas.  Don't buy them a ton of gifts!.  We plan on getting our toddler two gifts.  That's it.  He is going to have more fun with the wrapping paper anyway.

3.) SWAGBUCKS!!!! I can not express my love for swagbucks.  I have been saving my swagbucks for Christmas.  I save them all year just for this.  I get gift cards and give them out as gifts.  My daughter in college loves getting itunes and starbucks gift cards.  What does it cost me?  NOTHING.  I simply use swagbucks as my browser instead of google.

4.) BUDGET! BUDGET! BUDGET!!!!!!  Do not overspend.  There is no need.  My neices and nephews don't get mad at me because I didn't buy them at $50.00 video game.  They are appreciative for what I bought them or baked them.  They love home baked goods and I love to give them a platter at Christmas time.  It's  a real treat for them.
