Chex® Bananas Foster Crunch Mix

Ingredients

3 cups Honey Nut Chex® cereal
3 cups Cinnamon Chex® cereal
2 cups pecan halves (8 oz)
  1/1/2 cups dried banana chips
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1/3 cup butter
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon banana extract
1/2 teaspoon rum extract

Preparation Directions

1. In large microwavable bowl, mix cereals, pecans and banana chips.
2. In 2-cup microwavable measuring cup, microwave brown sugar, butter and cinnamon uncovered on High about 1 1/2 minutes, stirring after 1 minute, until melted and smooth. Stir in extracts. Pour over cereal mixture; stir until evenly coated.
3. Microwave uncovered on High 3 minutes, stirring after each minute. Spread on waxed paper or foil to cool; break into bite-size pieces. Store in airtight container.

Tips
To ease the load of last-minute prep, make the mix up to 2 weeks ahead and store in and airtight container.
Success
Use butter for the best flavor when making this crunchy snack.
