Stop Focusing on your Marriage

Welcome back to Intentional By Grace!

This post is written by contributing writer, Mary Beth from New Life Steward.

“Stop Focusing on Your Marriage.”

The first time I heard that statement, I was sitting in a relatively new small group in a friend’s living room. We just started a new study on marriage and during the video segment, the speaker told us to stop focusing on our marriage. Immediately I was defensive.

Candy Bar Love Notes

I don’t know who said that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, but it seems to be pretty accurate in our marriage!  Handsome hubby loves to eat!  So I grabbed some of his favorite candy bars and made an arsenal of candy bar love notes!  This way, I can grab one and stuff it in his suit case for him to discover later on.  It’s a sweet (literally!) and simple way to show my love for him.

How to Make Your Own Year of Dates

Date Night with my Honey is something we rarely do.  Sad but true. We never seem to have the time or money to just go out.  I was thinking about this and came to the conclusion I should buy a gift card each time I am at the grocery store and make a year worth of dates.  I decided to do a little research and came across this little gem on What's up Fagans? web site.

Rocket Straws

The other day I was browsing Pinterest for a fun activity to do with our LM.   I hit the jackpot when I found this post on how to make Rocket Straws.

To start, seal an empty envelope, then draw lines as shown. Invite your child to cut along the lines (or help him with this step, if necessary). The corner of the envelope will form the top of the rocket.
