Summer Triple Berry Sangria with a hint of Ginger Recipe

makes 1 large pitcher

1 cup strawberries hulled
1 cup blueberries
1 cup raspberries
1 teaspoon sized knob of fresh ginger, peeled and lightly crushed
1 1/2 cups berry flavored vodka (I used Absolut raspberry)
1 1/2 cups berry flavored juice (I used Ocean spray blueberry juice)
1/2 cup sugar or to taste
one 750 ml bottle of red wine (I used Barefoot Merlot)
1-2 cups gingerale
ice cubes
mint sprigs for garnish

Mint Melon Sangria

Ingredients:
1 ½ cups diced watermelon
1 ½ cups diced cantaloupe
1 ½ cups diced honeydew melon
2 cups ice
10 mint leaves Juice from
¼ lime
2 bottles spumonte or other sparkling wine

Directions:
Pour all of the diced melons in a large glass pitcher. Top with ice.
Gently muddle mint leaves with the lemon juice. Add to pitcher.
Pour wine last into the glass and stir with a wooden spoon.

DRINK!

Virgin Strawberry Mojitos

 

Ingredients: 
1 1/2 cups water, divided
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup mint leaves, chopped (Use 1 cup if you like it extra minty)
1 cup strawberry sorbet
1/2 cup lime juice (juice of approximately 6-7 limes)
4 cups club soda (approximately 1 liter)
Lime wedges & mint springs, for serving

Peach Lemonade

 

Ingredients:
4 cups water
2 cups coarsely chopped peaches (approx. 3 to 4 peaches)
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup fresh lemon juice (juice of approx. 6 to 8 lemons)
1/4 to 1/2 cup additional water
4 cups ice
1 peach cut into 8 wedges, for garnish

Directions:

In a medium saucepan, add the peaches, water & sugar.  Bring to a boil over medium high heat.  Once boiling, reduce heat to medium low and simmer for 3 minutes.
