Recipe for 8x8 or 9x9 Pan
Serves 6
1 C. Sugar
1 C. Flour
2 tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
1 C. Milk
2 C. Fruit, fresh, frozen or canned
2 tsp. Sugar to sprinkle on top of cobbler
Combine Sugar, Flour, Baking Powder, and salt in a bowl. Stir in the milk and vanilla into the dry mixture and stir to combine. Pour the mixture into a spray-treated 9x9 pan or baking dish. Add the fruit to the top, distributing evenly. Sprinkle sugar on top of the fruit. Bake 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes until the top is browned.
Recipe for 9x13 Pan
Serves 12
2 C. Sugar
2 C. Flour
1 Tbsp + 1 tsp Baking powder
1 tsp. Salt
2 tsp. Vanilla
2 C. Milk
4 C. Fruit; frozen, fresh or canned
1 Tbsp. Sugar to sprinkle on top of the fruit
Combine Sugar, Flour, Baking Powder, and salt in a bowl. Stir in the milk and vanilla into the dry mixture and stir to combine. Pour the mixture into a spray-treated 9x13 pan or baking dish. Add the fruit to the top, distributing evenly. Sprinkle sugar on top of the fruit. Bake 350 degrees for 55-70 minutes until the top is browned and cooked through out. (Use the tooth pick test)
* I start checking around 45 minutes and then do 10 minute timer in between test with a tooth pick.*
