My take on the famous treat from a NYC restaurant. Hot chocolate flavor served up icy cold!
Peppermint White Hot Chocolate
1/2 cup whole milk
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 cup white chocolate
1 tsp. peppermint extract
whipped cream & peppermint pieces for topping
- Combine all ingredients in small cooking pot over medium heat
- Stir constantly until chocolate is completely melted & almost boiling
- Serve hot with whipped cream & peppermint pieces

1. Peppermint Hot Chocolate: Spread marshmallow fluff on the rim of a mug and then dip the mug in crushed candy canes. Pour instant hot chocolate mix into the prepared mug, add water as directed and stir in 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract.
2. Mexican Hot Chocolate: Stir a generous pinch each of ground cinnamon and cayenne pepper into 1 mug of prepared instant hot chocolate. Garnish with cinnamon stick.
