Amish White Bread
- 1 cup warm water (110 degrees F)
- 1 cup warm milk (110 degrees F)
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 tablespoons active dry yeast
- 5 1/2 to 6 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 egg yolk + 1 tablespoon water to form an egg wash (optional)
